Ek Do Teen, an initiative established by two 16-year-old high schoolers - Rishaaya Kakar and Kaira Gulati, is dedicated to reshaping mathematical education for underprivileged children through innovative approaches. OUR APPROACH

We believe in making learning an adventure, starting with interactive treasure hunts that challenge students to solve math puzzles and uncover hidden clues. These activities not only sharpen their problem-solving skills but also foster teamwork and critical thinking as they collaborate to decode each challenge.

Starting off with our role plays, where students step into the roles of mathematicians faced with real-world scenarios. Whether calculating budgets as entrepreneurs or solving mathematical challenges as engineers, every role-play session engages students in the practical application of mathematical concepts, encouraging them to think creatively and analytically.

Our baking sessions turn the kitchen into a classroom where measuring ingredients becomes a lesson in fractions and proportions. From doubling recipes to calculating baking times, students not only learn practical math skills but also enjoy the tangible rewards of their efforts through delicious treats.

Art integration is another cornerstone of our approach, using geometric shapes and patterns to inspire creativity. Through hands-on projects like tessellation designs and symmetry art, students explore mathematical concepts visually, reinforcing their understanding in a tactile and engaging manner.

Meet Rishaaya Kakar and Kaira Gulati, two driven sixteen-year-old girls who share a deep passion for mathematics and a strong desire to empower underprivileged children through education. Inspired by their love for numbers and the transformative power of learning, they founded Ek Do Teen.

In their junior year of high school, Rishaaya and Kaira realized the impact they could make by sharing their enthusiasm for mathematics with those who have limited access to educational resources. With a commitment to fostering a love for learning and bridging educational gaps, they launched Ek Do Teen to introduce innovative teaching methods like treasure hunts, role plays, baking, and art—approaches designed to make math both understandable and enjoyable for young minds.
